Well I took the motor apart today and this is what I found. Broke a brand new valve in the #1 cylinder and some how it took out the #1 piston then found it's way to the number #7 cylinder and took out that piston to. Don't even know how that's possible but it happened. Oh yea and it took out my heads.
That is the reason I stopped running my car this year. I did a valve spring check and it was down 50# on the seat. If the spring pressure drops the valve will bounce open and closed at high RPMS. That will cause the head of the valve to snap off. Lucky enough for me I noticed a drop in MPH. That is what made me check.
Anyone think my head can be fixed? You can kind of see it in the first pic. There are a couple chunks right around the valve seat. I'm just trying to figure ot a plan and have a tight budget.
I would take it a good machine shop and see what they think.I had welded a crack in a cast iron head before and held up to a 150 shot and 12.1 to 1 comp with no issuses.
