3rd gen camaro engine pulling and install advice

I've never pulled a 5spd motor on a 3rd gen camaro. my question is should i pull it out with the tranny still attached and if so does the car need to be on jack stands ? I've done plenty of auto's just no 5spd's

it is easier to unbolt the trans from the bellhousing leaving the bellhousing attached to the motor.This is the way i did my camaro when i had it and did the motor swap in less than a full day.

Just undo the trans like he said and do the bell and the motor together. It's pretty easy. I pull my motor out in under a hour.

i still prefer to pull everything at once.

only thing different with the 5 speed is taking the console out, removing the shifter boot, and unbolting the shifter from the trans.
