a partial venting and poll question ,,,,,,, well some know i was looking for a oil pan to replace the chrome one one my 383 chevy ,,,,, well after looking on the summit site and hunting one down it seemed i found one that i was confident would work ,,,,,well the pan arrived then i went for a test fit ,,,,,then the usual unwanted guest shows up murphy's law that motherfucker so leads me to 2 choices ,,,,1) keep looking on the summit site and possibly ending up with a useable pan who knows how many would need to be sent back and forth ??? choice 2 ) reuse the pan that was on it ?? ,,,,,,, just really pisses me off just about anything to be ordered and done is always a big bullshit project damn POS anyways if you have anything to ad please do so thanks

the same question is rattling in my empty head ...... my spirit about it rite now is leave it in pices and fuck the BS unfortunatly i have to suffer and push through the painstaking garbage it creates
foodstamp the picture is not the greatest but if you look at the rear radius its shallow like your original pan. That means you need one for a 2 piece seal.If you need one quick go to speed shack on rte 1 in norwood he gets parts in a day or two and prices are close to mail order. Also in the link you posted of the moroso adapter it says in the description from moroso that it uses 86 and earlier cranks and pans.

the plan for today i went on milodon's site and may have found a pan i am going to call milodon tech and going to call driverseat in warwick ri and see if they have one if they do will be taking a ride to see it and bring my old pan with me according to milodon's site it will clear a 3.75 stroke but with certian rods ,,,another concern i have is the milodon pan depth is 8" at its lowest point my pan when it was mounted measured from the pan rail to bottom measured 7" so i am unsure how the oil pick up will work ,,,, any thoughts ?? thanks scroll down to part 30701 http://www.milodon.com/oil-pans/oil-pans-dartshp-sbchevy.asp
