only spray on a race fuel at that point jim and most id reccomend is a 125 hit ...and make sure you retared that timing back accordingly cause if not that will cause alot of damage
agreed... i was there too... almost got the front tires up, but i think that may of had something to do with the weight transfer... putting the driver's weight in the back seat during the launch may add to your chances of a wheels up launch. lol
why not did a 150 shot on stock rods, cast crank and 13 to 1 hypers and used 110 octane never blew anything up
if that engins has the powdered metal rods that would be a risk. the stock crank will hold up fine. a 150 shot would be ok on those pistons but like you did it needs race fuel to do it.
back in the early 90's I sprayed my monte ss ( the black one my uncle owns now- I posted pics in the past) sprayed it with a 125 wet shot every wednesday night and the stock 305 took it well
also sprayed my silver v6 gtp with an .86 jet , gotta be around a 200 shot , little bitch would trap 118 lol ,2 owners later its still going strong
I wouldnt be scared of a 100 shot on that engine as long as you run race fuel and pull about 4* timing (2* per 50 shot) and make sure you have a wideband on it to ensure your afr is around 12 to 1 to be safe NA - they are so cheap to buy now its protecting your investment in your engine
of course any time your making more hp your putting more stress on components so be prepared for the worst but with proper precautions it should take many bottles of spray 1/4 mile at a time
