IMAG0026.jpgIMAG0024.jpgStarted on a new project. 88 mustang hatch body pretty much for drag radial racing and some street use. Will consist of a 408 LS with ported LS3 heads, carb and a big nitrous kit. TH400 with brake, 8.8 rear with spool and 33 spline axles. AJE front tubular frame and coilovers in front. Cage all done and just finishing up bodywork. Car will be matte silver with black drag lite wheels. should be done for spring.

No idea what springs, now im curious myself. I bought the whole complete rear suspension from a guy at the swapmeet over a year ago. i did have to put a small patch in the drivers side tower but that was it, car was pretty solid.

Thanks! made it myself, lol. Used all leftover silvers and grey chromabase pints that were left over from jobs over the years. mixed em up in a gallon and thats it.

running a radial also , just so ya dont get frustrated withe the radial ................ ya wanna set front struts loose and at full extension and if ya rear shocks are adjustable ...go all the way tight . oppisite from a slick and the best thing for that car is front travel limiters that go from front frame down to control arm .. you can adjust the chain or cable whatever the kit ya have to control the travel up front also ......

radials do work and are fast .......but a lot of people ditch them cuz they cant fine tune them in at the track . looks sweet what ya have done so far , i will look in garage tonight i dont think i have anything ya might need

maybe a kirkey race seat but that maybe it all my stuff is bbf but sweet car ............. everyone knocks foxbody mustangs and i will be honest not my fav car or first choice just hard to beat bang for the buck factor

Thanks for the input on the radials, I will definately try those things first becuz i really had no idea about radial vs slicks as far as setting up suspension. this will hopefully save some time. Going for the " stock interior look with it, other than cage looking for something comfortable to cruise.

motor started off as a 6.0lq4 from a 02 chevyHD . Now its stroked to a 408 with forged internals, ported L98 heads, victor jr intake and 590 lift cam. Just about 600hp. Tranny is a built 400 with all the goodies and mods to handle 1000+ hp with a trans brake.

Oh ya and Phil do you see any valve covers on it????? will not be there tonite. Gonna be there on mondays till its done

It does not sit like that anymore. I put it together originally with some mystery yellow springs from the swap meet. I ended up putting in some stock ones now it sits like it should.
