I found a very hot wire,It is coming from my ignition, when i trun the key to start the car it dont start,so i started to put the steering column apart to look at the wiring,The Red wire with green stripe is the one getting hot,The car will start from the solenoid and the wire inside the car will still be hot.
Ok so i tryed a few things 1 i got another coil and the red with lite green wire still getting hot,Ignition module is good had it tested. So now what it be?
was the car originally a manual trans if so ,,, a failed cluth switch could be a cause for a no start condition ,,,, also i assume the ecm has been eliminated ?
Duraspark box I believe was for a 4 cylinder and was not wired for a V8. I pulled all that out and hooked up a MSD box I had. The other issue was the solenoid was bad that is why it wouldn't start with the key. It starts now without a problem.
